The Columbus Blue Jackets will conduct their annual prospects development camp from June 29-July 2, with players undergoing medicals and off-ice testing on the first day.
The camp will feature team prospects and players selected in the 2026 NHL Draft, including first-round picks Jackson Smith and Pyotr Andreyanov.
The OhioHealth Ice Haus will host the camp, with all on-ice practice sessions free and open to the public.
Development Coaches Tommy Cross, Anthony and Matthew Donskov, and Goaltending Coach Niklas Backstrom will conduct on-ice sessions.
Trinity College assistant men’s hockey coach Paul Russell will serve as a guest coach.
The Columbus Blue Jackets currently stand 11th in the Eastern Conference with a 40-30 record, on a L2 streak.
On-ice practice sessions will take place from June 29-July 2, with the Prospect Game scheduled for July 2 at 9:30 a.m.
The complete development camp roster will be available prior to the start of camp.
And the players will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the coaching staff.
But the camp is not just about the players, it's also about the coaches and the experience they bring.
So the Columbus Blue Jackets are expecting a lot from this year's development camp.
The team's prospects will have the chance to learn from experienced coaches and improve their game.
